I made these charts to demonstrate the amount of GPU power it takes to load massive MIDI files onto MIDITrail. Here I have a GTX 550Ti, a GTX 750Ti, and a GTX 760.
GeForce 550Ti, 1GB
GeForce 750Ti, 2GB
GeForce 760, 4GB
For the CPU, I was using an Intel Core i7 4790k @4.00GHz which turbo boost to 4.4GHz under single-core heavy load. These bar graphs show that the graphics cards with the most ram were able to maintain a much higher framerate with larger MIDI files.
Over time, I will be adding more sets of graphics card's benchmarks on MIDITrail to these same MIDIs used, with the same processor.
GPU MIDItrail benchmark scores for Dead Zone 1.09 Mill
GPU Miditrail Benchmark for LBSFS 2.25 Million
GPU Miditrail benchmark for Bad Apple 4.6 Million
GPU Miditrail benchmark for The Antichlorobenze 8.1 million
