BRELS MIDI Editor is an open-source old-school MIDI editor developed in 2004 by Breno de Lima Sarmento that opens MIDIs exceptionally fast and can edit them with ease and efficiency. It is primarily used by Derplet1.
Pros and Cons
- Can open MIDI files very fast and can edit them with ease. Pasting a large volume of notes does not do much to performance.
- Exporting MIDIs is fast
- Software is open-source
- Outdated; does not optimize and take advantage of today's computer powers and therefore is not 64-bit nor does it support the use of multiple cores
- Can have bugs at times
- Can glitch and corrupt MIDI data
- Has extremely limited features
